They have to be that high quality original to get to that level
It looks pretty good. The pictures on Ebay could always be better.

The problem with something like that is that it's easy to get people to bid high on it because everyone wants it, but actually getting them to pay it something else. I bet that it goes pretty high, but the seller has to relist.
Dammit!

It's not all that much nicer than the one I sold last year. Makes me wish I hadn't put that $1100 BIN on mine...

I think its a sign of the times. With all these $6k 250rs and 350xs going around, it's about time that it catches up to the rest of the trikes. I am glad that our bikes are bringing in more money but sad because soon I will not be able to afford any more in my stable. I bought my 250r and tecate early in 2006 for this reason, because I knew soon I would not want to spend 4k on a decent trike.
I have recently come to the conclusion that I probably will not be buying anymore trikes due to these rising costs.
an 85 200x!- i personally haven't seen one go over 1300 in great condition. Its amazing what shiney plastic does to us trike addicts.
I think it is great unless you are in the market for one.
That's why I am getting a 250R very soon.

For a collector The money is in the small details. Its much more than shiny plastic. If you find a LOW hour machine that the paint is not worn or chipped, zinc is still shiny and nothing has to be replaced to look almost showroom nice in the end you actually save time and money by spending rather than performing a pricy restore.
Also remember its winter time and as mentioned by other members more people are at the computer this time of year. I sold an 87 200x in decent shape for 3800 last year. A few months ago we were talking how the market crashed....if things are "the usual" during tax refund time things will be high priced as well. Very cyclical this market is. A few new buyers have hit the market so Hondline stuff will be high for a while as well
