Race Contest!!!

I have recently purchased a 85 250r. The bike is clean with only the pipe and silencer changed. A couple of my friends have banshees and they want to race me( the bikes are clean too).I was just wondering if we race will i beat them and what is the acceleration and top speed of each machine. Thanks in advance!!!!

I think it will be a close race. The banshees are pretty fast machines tho. I guess it depends on how far your racing, and if your on a track or not, and if the machines are modded. I think the 250R should go about 70-75, but when the Banshee gets worked up, It may go around 75-80, but will need a slightly longer distance to do so. If its a short drag, you should win. Dont let the banshee get to top speed, because when they do, they run like a raped ape, believe me. LOL. Hope you win. Its funny to see a trike smoke a quad. Let us know what happens. Peace

Ok, I am probably somehow wrong, or at least someone will say I am, but this past winter, I had my 350X out on the lake behind my house, and #1 I had so much more low end than the 2002 banshee I rode that ot wasn't even funny, and #2 when we race I smoked him,,,, Granted the banshee had problems hooking up in the packed snow, but so didn't I,,,,, Anyway, I have heard that a 250R will smoke a 350X,,, and I think if that is true then a 250R will ruin a banshee,,,,,,,,,,,, And for you guys that are gonna say the more cc's will win, you gotta remember gearing and the fact that back in 85-86 performance meant more cause now if they made machines that fast out of the box theyed still begetting sued left and right,,,, just my .02

OK I HAVE A BRAND NEW BANSHEE WITH T5 PIPES BOOST BOTTLE AND WISECO PISTONS AND IVE CLOCKEDIT 105 TELL ME A 250 R WILL BEAT ME I RACE CROTCH ROCKETS IN A QUATER MILE AND WELL ITS PRETTY CLOSE

UM MY FRIENDS DO 100 MPH TOO EASYLY BANSHEES ARE 4 WHEELED CROTCH ROCKETS MY PISTON IS BORRED 2 SIZES NOT SURE THE EXACT MESUREMENTS ALL I HAVE IS PIPES AND A BOOST BOTTLE I GOT A FRIEND THAT IS A SHERIFF AND HE CLOCKS OUR BIKES ALL THE TIME HE EVEN RACES US IN HIS CAR HE IS A COOL COP

Im not trying to say your wrong but stock they do 72 my friends 88 does 72 and another friend just bought a 2003 does 72 the 87 has almost same mods now as you just prox pistons bored .080 over he only does 80something are you using stock gearing?

105 is possible but you would eather have to change the gearing or have it alot more modded than what u say you do i got my 350x to do 110 but i had a 16 tooth ont he front and a 30 on the rear with 22inch tires acclreation suxed but sure hauled ass on the top until it started to bounce then i got a little scared and slowed down but honestly i think the banshee will win everyone rember that the banshee is a twin so there is always a pistion fiering so you have quite a bit more hp
