What did you guys think of the 1st round? I didn't think it was all that great. RC didn't seem to really push himself. I really expected more from him. He said before the race that winning the first Anaheim was something he wanted to do before retirement. Since this will be his last, you would think he would try a little harder. Reed did pretty good since he had a bumbed up shoulder. I figure the rest of the season, look for Bubba to be 1 and Reed to be 2.

I did hear them say that Suzuki agreed to supply RC with machinery through the 08 and 09 season if he wanted to race again. I am a pretty big Nascar fan as well and I hope I get a chance to see him run in Nextel cup with those guys. I am not sure if he can go from being a great MX and SX rider to cup cars and carry that same momentum. I guess we will just have to see how that plays out..

What was most important to him was showing up for the fans that supported him through the years. He would of liked to win it if possible but did say he has nothing left to prove which is so, so true.

I think he did a great job. With Ricky not pushing for the championship I think that will make Reed push even harder then ever before this season and I hope he does.

Boring when bubba just "scrubs" away with it, ya know?

Yea, I don't get that. That you can jump from 2 to 4 wheels and race with the big leauge? If RC's determination is on = to his moto level of it, which I think it will be, that will be a big factor in him placing decent even if he does have less skill.

I love to watch RC race...........this year will be no different. He has for the most part taken himself outta the chase for the championship with his limited schedual. That being said I hope Reed has the most points at the end of the season.

I have nothing against bubbles, I know he is fast, I just feel he is to reckless and prone to showboating........................but damn that kawi seems to have the beans in raw hp department:eek:

I want Reed to run it this year, but hate to say that the only thing faster on the track then Bubba (except for when RC will race) will be when #7 blows a turn, bounces a landing, or just flat out pulls a bone headed move (see the Canadian races).

Jeff Ward raced indy cars for a while and he was in the top half of the pack most of the time. i think he almost won a couple times

With RC out of the points chase , I think this years supercross will be the story of the tortoise and the hare , and we all know how that story ends.

I hate to say it, but I don't think Reed has much of a chance of really challenging Bubba. About the only way Reed will beat Bubba is on Bubbas mistakes. I see the wreckless riding too. That is usually why Bubba goes down. Reed and RC have more carisma in thier riding. I would like to see Reed and Bubba have a close season, but I really don't see that happening.

I don't think RC is jumping straight into Nextel Cup. I think I heard him say he was starting at dirt track, then up to ARCA, then if everything goes good, he will go up to the trucks and so on. He did say he feels he only has one chance to prove himself. Mabey he will turn out to be a good there too. In Nascar though, you usually don't have the domination that he had on dirtbikes. It will be interesting to see how he handles that...

I agree , Reed doesn't have a chance against bubba , as long as bubba keeps it on 2 wheels. That was my point , I don't think anyone will be able to touch Bubba , IF he keeps it out of the dirt. RC will play a big factor in that what few races he does this year.

Well Reed flat out smoked him in Canada, that was a great race!!

I think Reed could pull it off this year, Bubba seems to make mistakes when he is not even pushed a lot of times.

I'm sure we all would like to see some close battles, if Bubba runs away and gets out front, I fall a sleep sometimes!

I'm rooting for Reed, actually for both of them, don't care who wins, battles are the most important to me, a good show, ya know?
