Bone stock, 3000 American. 05 yzf450. Sound like a decent deal?

For $3000?.............sounds like a great deal. What kinda use has it had? Even under race conditions they hold up well, add in that most racers are better about upkeep and maint then the average gas and go trail rider.

Treat it good and it will treat you great, they are a helluva a machine.

Ok thanks for the input. He said he just used it for a play bike around loacal trails. Im waiting for his reply for more information such As maintnance and whether its stock or not.

nice choice of bike even though the price may have influenced your decision to purchase that model. I have to ask you however, are you sure that it is a 2005 model, because i'm pretty sure it should have an aluminum frame. The fork guards on the '05 should have a smoother design with round features, whereas the '04 has more of a square look to them. Maybe im wrong but i remember after i bought my yz450 in '04 i was pissed cause i saw the aluminum frame on the 05's Did that deal come with an ownership??? lol

Maybe i just saw a preview for the 06 model in early 05 and thats why im confused, who the hell cares its a sweet bike just like all the 450's. I cant wait to get out in the spring and pound the snot out of mine.:naughty:

bike is completely stock. New chain and sprockets, small tear in seat, few minor scratches. He claims its a 2005, and I checked im sure the 2005's werent aluminum. I've made him an offer of 2850 so ill see how it goes.
