i would say trikeaholic has the nicest rare bike. although i like tom batts' original 350x. that is sweet!!! mike from long island has a nice tri z. justin has a nice 250r, i bought his 350x. who has the nicest tecate?

in my own opinion any trike cleaned up and not really ruff looking is nice to me. there are so many on 3ww it cant be said as to who has the nicest.besides mine is the nices around were i live lol i could give triz jim a run for the trophy on the Z challenge lol he may have more but i will get mine DIRTY hehe and that my friends is what it is all about. or so i am told gotta love a smart ass :D

well, thanks for the compliment. I aint bragging, but I think my collection is pretty darn interesting. I am into all 1980's stuff, cars, trikes, music. I have a real interest in the aftermarket parts for of that era for my trikes. I just picked up what I believe to be a Hi-Performance ATV (company) KX60 to KXT60 conversion kit, and have alot of vintage aftermarket on my YT175, including the rear suspension conversion. Of course, the TIger, but I dont find that as unusual as the kits that I have found latley. My other trikes are basically stock, the usual bolt ons, nothing special. Although they all are pretty dang clean. The only one thats been frame up'ed is the Tiger for now. and I just started the Tecate 60 tonite. here is a pic of my Tecate 250, since everyone is posting Tecate pics

My 125m was really nice till the seat cracked and my back fender cracked whats bad is i was not riding it when it happend. :twisted: I friend hit the seat with a bat to scare me when it was cold out..... And i was putting in the shed (have to turn it on its side) and cracked the rear fender since my garage was to full of stuff.....

what do you think of my 1986 ATC (flat track kit) 250r? im gonna get the pipe chromed along with the swingarm, powder the frame a silverish color, get all white plastics, and currently i am polishing the WHOLE motor and just orderd a ESR big bore powervalve cylinder.who knows where i can get :?: some white shrouds for a flat track kit? did i mention i bought theese for a grand from an x-professional racer??!!

i also got rid of that stupid gold tire along with the fork boots!

I agree honda 300ex actually the paint doesent match cant tell from pic
but tank and frame are lighter than plastics i didnt use pj 1 primer so i couldent clear coat i did clear coat the frame and it orange peeled had to re sand and paint.the top of seat on top of gas tank is tearing so i may get a blue seat and re paint tank white . i definately agree too much red.
we learn from our mistakes its my first resto.

yea the black seat is orig. for the 83-84 i think but since the trike is not stock (extended axle,turf tamers + itp rims,twist throttle,old era k&n handle bars) may be a blue seat would be appropriate i too like the red white and blue color scheme.

Ditto on Tom Batts' 350X. My 350X is maybe one of the nicer modified trikes but Tom's is the best original condition trike. Always brings a smile to my face, Tom.

Back in 99 when I started coming here there were only about 15 trikes to choose from.I thought mine(tri-z's)were the best looking until Hagen threw up some pics of his.I dont come here enough anymore to remember who's is who's but there are a ton of nice trikes here.Trikeaholic has a rare collection of butes.Howdy has the most.MIK6 and Jeb are the Tecate kings.Waterpumpers is clean too. Tom Batts has the nicest honda.The guys at Kearney have all of us beat.

I like that Tri Z with the blue and pink. Original looking is boring to me ( I know most of you disagree) I love to see trikes that someone has a theme to, and makes them wild and out of the ordinary. Its true that wild will turn more heads, but on the other hand, the real trike lovers do appreciate an original piece.

DARN!!! That is the finest ATC 350X I've ever seen. I thought my uncle Derek had the finest trike (86250RZ). I have to say he has the 2nd cleanest now, but the 1st cleanest 250R. I have to hand it to you Tom Batts,that is a beautiful trike. I bet he had to pay a arm & leg for it, too. Anyway my vote is for Tom Batts 350X. I'd say my 85 250R is clean, since it is 5 years older than me :shock:. My newer pics are here and thanks for ya'll givin me the comments on it.

I used fender renew on my gas tank. This weekend i plan to renew all my fenders. My uncle (86250RZ) used it on his R. Did Coyle use it on his :?: If he didn't, i recommend it.

85250RFanatic, saw the Tecate swingarm on your R! :shock: Before you posted, I thought it was aluminum and maybe you were one of the lucky few to have a cal-fab swingarm. it's gotta be a Tecate 4 swingarm. did the R bearing carrier slip right into the Tecate carrier? or did you have to use the whole tecate rear end? how bout the swingarm pivots? did they match right up? how do you like the aluminum swingarm?

yeah i had a mate make the guards for me out of sheet metal i reckon they look ok. i would love to restore it back to original but there would be some big $$$ involved. the pipe is custom made and is similar in design to the white bros e series pipes you can buy for xrs n stuff. i want to rebuiled the motor as its getting a bit long in the tooth but i also want to increse capacity. do u know how far they can be bored?? or if a larger capacity head will fit?? gotta get a new front guard as the one on it is a bit dodgy, i can get a repoduction one in color of choice for aus$55 but it is made from fibrglass? dont know if i could get a oem plastic one and it would prolly cost a fair bit.
