The front tire on my 1985 200s has a chronic flat. Tried to take out the front axle but the axle is siezed in the shock. Tried heat with more heat, impact wrench, breaker bar ect. hasnt budget it. got the tire off anyway by taking it off the hub and pullling it by the shock. Now i cant break down the front tire, tried tire hammers and evan a shop press on the bead. How are you ever supposed to break these tires down. Next problem was that I tried to get the shock out of the forks so i took the 2 bolts out, but know the shock wont come out of the forks, moved it a little but put some pretty good scratches in it and i am afraid i may have ruined it. Anway to sum up my list of hardships I cant break down the front tire to fix it, axle is siezed into the shock housing, and the shock is stuck in the forks, and help would be more than welcome. Thanks

hate to say it but thats how it goes when your working on old bikes sometimes.
you might have to cut the axle off and use a press to get it out of the hub or just chuck it and get another one from some ware.

have you tried spraying wd40 on the axle and just letting it soak for a day? The axle on my 82 R did the same thing to me, so I sprayed it and let it sit for a day. The next day I had to work the axle back and forth and spray it some more, but it did come out.

Butterfingers Ahe',I won't ask, LOL, Take the tire to a tire shop and have them bust the bead,I am assuming it is still a stock tire, them are tough and sounds like your gonna dent the crap out of it by the way your going about it ! The axle is very common to be stuck in there ,they oxodize bad ,I am gonna tell you that you can put Some heat ,and I use that term loosely, but make that your last alternative if possible,to get the axle out and an impact is a good idea ,if you have'nt already rounded off the end 17 or 19mm if I remember correct! As far as the forks,if you look under the tree where the fork bolts are ,you will see it is split, you need to drive a wedge in the slit ,spray some lube up there and twist the shock out,it should come out by hand,I hope that helps ,and a word of advice, don't use a hammer on what your doing, get a rubber mallet if anything!!!
