I need some help finding a motor for the ATC70 I recently acquired. The engine it has now looks like it will need a full rebuild.
I would rather find another running 70cc motor to stick in it. I've read about the Lifans but really don't want to go with Chinese made motors.
Will an XR70 fit? I know it has a kickstart and I think full manual clutch. What about the CT70 motors?
I'm really looking to find another atc70 motor but want to know if these other motors will bolt right up without mods to the frame.
If anyone has a running ATC70 motor preferably 4 speed please let me know. Thanks.

Ct70 motor will work but your still working with an old motor. Say what you will about Chinese motors but I like my Lifan and now you can get a 138cc with wire harness shipped for $425!!!

I just put a Lifan in a 85 ATC70 and no problems what so ever plus you get Electric start manual clutch and 110cc which is way better then the little 70. You need to build a battery box and either lengthen the stock headpipe or use CRF50 exhaust.

I guess I should have mentioned that my 70 is for my 6 year old and his cousins. He already has a tri-zinger. I just picked this atc70 up on a trade and want to get it running.
So I'm either going to totally rebuild the engine in it, or look for a running 70cc. But it needs to be auto clutch.

You can get a Lifan with auto clutch, but the stockers are easy to rebild unless you get into tranny then its not really worth it.

Thats why I'm looking for another atc70 motor because I'm pretty sure the bottom end is shot on the motor thats in it.
I wouldn't mind rebuilding the top end as long as I get a decent price on the motor.
