Hello, i'm new to this forum and a rookie at working on my atc's. I have a 1975 honda 90 with a 1970 engine and a 1980 honda 110. I have a question about the 110 that I hope someone can help me with. I had to change one of the shift forks in the tranny. It has new gaskets all the way around. When I got it all back together and ready to start I pulled the rope and I heard a hissing sound coming from the dipstick. I loosened it and the pressure released. Does anybody know where the vent is for the crankcase? I looked all over for a vent tube but couldnt find one. On the microfiche parts list it shows a vent tube on the 1981 models but not on the 79 or 80 models. thanks for your help.

the older ones didnt have one...i drilled a hole in the case when mine was apart and used a tire stem with the guts out of it for a vent

I'd hate to have to tear it all apart again . i would think it has to vent somewhere?

they used to sell a vent that screwed into the dip stick hole and itcame with a longer dip stick....i dont think they do have one

mine never blew a gasket but you had watch out for the dip stick, it would fly out at you...lol
