Alright folks, my good buddy of 3 years was telling me the sad story about how he lost his daughter in a car accident. He had never mentioned her at all before that. He tells me he has something for my son, but some work is involved to get to it. Come to find out, there was 40 TONS of hay to move. So I just keep it in the back of my mind. He called me yesterday and told me it is time to grab the family and head up to the ranch. I pull into the shop and he is there messing with with one of his TRX 250R's. He waits until all of us hop out ot the wifes truck and he leads us to the lower hay barn. We turn the corner and there sits an 84' Big Red and I start smiling. He said "nope, not that one". A few more steps and 3 big block Fords later here it sits. I'm pissed because we forgot our camera at home. It was the ultimate scene. It is a 1985 ATC 70 :woot: :beer: We loaded it really carefully, not to disturb the cocoon of webs and hay dust that encased it.

Not sure why it is red, it'll be cleaned up good before it gets bolted back on.

My gurl is great. I finally realized I married the right girl after she was 8 months along with our first son. She was packing 10 gallons of alcohol into the sprintcar trailer, sweat dripping off her head. I then realized she was the one. We were only married for 4 years by that time :D Sorry for getting off track, she makes me proud :D

I know where there is a twin like that, dirty like that, well like it was but the guy won't sell it. He's not into them at all though, I'll look you up if he ever decides to get rid if it. It's a long story why he can't get rid of it.

I put the carb kit in it yesterday at lunch (after a good soak). I had everything except the bowl drain screw o-ring. Oh well, no big deal I guess. I still need to clean the frame up and get chain and sprockets.

I ran it for a while this evening. Idles real well, but sputters in the midrange now. I'll mess with the needle a bit tomorrow to clean that up.
