Is 93 octane ok for this

A friend of mine has a 350x with for sale with a fresh build on the motor that I would like to buy . It is bored 20 over with a 12:1 piston . Will 93 octane be all right to run it or will I have to use a higher octane . Racing gas is no where close to where I live and I really dont want to have to drive forty miles to a station that has it every time I need gas .

well gumby welcome to 3ww!!! as for your question I think you might be able to get by with 93 with that, I know some guys here are running that at that comp, good luck homie!! are you any where close to south ga?

With 12:1 I've always gone to the airport here in Russellville and bought 100 octane avaition fuel. The look on the guy's face there was priceless when I walked to the pump with a jug.LOL!
