manifold on 82 250R

hope you guys can help. I have a 82 250R, it has a 300cc kit on it. The intake manifold is aged and cracked. it's a rubber intake that bolts onto the reed block.

when I check partsfish, it shows the manifold as being a part of the reed block, mine is hold on with 2 bolts (kind of like how all older japonese motorcycles are). I also checked the diagram for the 300R kit and it does not show the manifold that my trike has.

I also have a boost bottle port on the reed block, where the manifold bolts on to.

question is, does anyone know where I can get this manifold? I have one at my shop that the same bolt flange, and the carb flange is the same, but the ID after the carb tapers down and I think that would hurt performance a bit.

I will try to get some pictures of it this weekend.

you can use any 250r intake.

and that hole in the engine would not be for a boost bottle it would be for a fuel pump or nitrous.

a boost bottle would be before the reeds ."between the crab and the reeds"

figure #8 would be the reed cage maybe this it what is also called a "reed block" ?

i have 83/84 250r with a cracked intake also. i bought an 85/86 250r intake because someone told me it would fit. yes it will fit but you will need another carb because the intake hold is to big for the stock carb. also because the 83/84 intake is straight and the 85/86 intake cuts to the left causing the carb to hit the bottom of the cases so it will not fit in the intake hole properly. if you want to try it i will sell you the new intake i have and will make a deal on the carb i have.

let me clarify, the boost bottle connects to a piece like no. 10, but the one on my trike is thicker. then number 11 is 2 pieces on mine, the end plate and then a bold on rubber manifold.

Oh i see, You have a aftermarket reed spacer drilled for a boost bottle
