HELP!!! with new camera

I just got a new camera today, and I'm trying to post some pics of my new tiger. Everytime I try, it says too big. I'm not that great with computers, but my old camera was very easy to get the pictures from it to my computer to the thread. Please help. Is there a way to take smaller pics or less clear?

set the picture size on the camera to the smallest size and get a online phot place to dump photoes in like flicker or photobucket
