i have a 82 honda atc 200 when i will choke the carb it will shoot a stream of gas out of the carb and it will start running out of the two little vent things in the front of the carb and it will run out of the overflow hose the bike has been sitting for a while so i cleaned out the tank and got a bunch of junk out from that and after i did that it still flooded and shot fuel out the vents inside the carb anything will help

180 degrees off timing i am thinkin.. give her a pluck and have your hand over the carb if it blows out its off timing if it suckes in your ok;)

Did you clean out the carb bowl and jets

hey, check the valve lash, sounds like the intake valve isn't closing all the way.

yes i did clean the floats and that but what is weird is that it will run sometimes if you give it a squirt of ether and it will run good but then if you shut it off it wont restart

Make sure it is getting air, gas, and spark. So clean the airfilter, make sure the petcock isn't clogged, and get a new plug.

i cant believe someone would actually say "its 180 off"
since when do thse motors magically get themselves 180 off by sitting for a while

sounds like the little thingie under the float that stops the flow of gas either isnt sealing or is getting stuck halfway make sure u put the pin back in the float and it didnt come half way out

on my 82 200 what should be the valve specs for the exhaust and the intake and i found the intake is too tight so i want to readjust them thanks
