This guy here in Oz is converting his TRX250r to a 450 4 stroke for MX and is selling this R motor, here's what he has to say...what do you think ?

-duncan powervalve barrel 300cc
-extra dome for above
-hinson clutch basket
-new clutch plates (dec 06)
-new counter balancer bearing holder
-cr250 esr ignition
-38mm tmx carb off 03 yz125
-boyeson rad valve
-fmf rad valve
-original 250r barrel and head
-+gaskets etc plus anything else ive got lying around.

Downsides!
-on last bore. has .006 wear until needs new sleeve. Has about 5 hones
left in it about 2 years.
-had water getting in the carb thru the cable, now fixed although the carb
spring is rusty. (this has just happened)

It looks pretty nice I gotta say that, and the package includes some nice goodies along with it..Looks like a new sleeve will be needed in the future for sure ahe',but i know you got the hookups to get that easy,I would say get it if in a fair price range for ya ..You always need an extra motor laying around incase you pinch a coolant line or something...LOL,just getting your goat!!!

That's a good package. I think if he don't want an arm and leg for it, get it!:naughty:

anything duncan was big money!! but he's an idiot to take that motor out and put in a 450. but whatever if it means that you can get a dela on the motor then I say go for it!

Thats pretty cheap for a duncan motor. I have visited the Duncan Racing company and checkout some of their 250R's and 450R's. I saw some of their factory works stuff. 1000 is a STEAL.
