Man, did they go up or what? I could swear I paid about 32 bucks at Walmart 2 years (yea, that's all I got out of it! ) ago for a ES12BS for my SX 250. NOW I paid 56.33 and that was with exchange.

I checked at a cycle shop and a Yusa brand was 60 and at a tractor supply it was almost 60 there too!

Anyone else buy a battery lately? I imagine a fair amount of ATV's and ATC's use this same battery.

my battery for my 250es was around $60 4 years ago. It sucks, but what else are you gonna do? (besides end up with a sore leg!)

Well that makes me feel a little better but at least yours is lasting quite a while.

I'm going to check at deka batteries which is a HUGE battery warehouse by me that makes them and sells them right on the premises. Didn't have time or know batteries were so much or I would have checked there today.

They have seconds I think also. Quality of performance is the same as a 1st though, not sure what makes them a 2nd then? :wondering

Nope, the right battery at Wallyworld is about 55$. They do have other batteries for 30$ or so but it isn't the right battery. I got one at Autozone for 52$ about 2 years ago....

Not too long ago CAR batteries could be had for that (60 bucks) much!

I think the 87 125M i have will stay batteryless at that rate, and the two 225's and the ...........

Add all those up and i could buy another used trike just about!

That's a great deal dudefrain!! I was not sure if places could ship a battery to a place of residence. I also never looked on ebay.

I'm going to check right at this Deka plant and see how much I can get 2nds ( like one below) for, maybe I will get in the battery buissness! :w00t:

It depends on the battery, I'm sure your tri moto takes a smaller battery for sure.

I checked about 5 places on net, they are all between 50 & 60 for a 12B battery.

Thats a rake! Think I will put a huge tractor battery in mine for 1/2 the cost!

Hey Huffadude ,If you could get Into the battery business by getting those seconds and sell them on here like Dads does the bearing s that would be cool. You could probably sell a bunch of them as much as these batteries junk out.I wonder If those type Deka batteries hold up better with that glassmat in them.

The best way to keep the Batteries is to keep them on a Battery Tender.Keep them out of the cold weather when not using them.

One of the problems with the little batteries on trikes is that they sit for long periods of time.

Get one of these $19

http://www.northerntool.com/images/product/images/167951_lg.gif

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_12128_12128

and keep your trike plugged in. The battery will last much longer, and it will always be charged.

You can also get this one $49

http://www.northerntool.com/images/product/images/167981_lg.gif

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_197012_197012

It can maintain up to four batteries at the same time.

I have used both and they make batteries last a lot longer
