I am in the mood to put an aftermarket exhaust on the old 1984 YTM 200E. Who sells them? Anybody have a few websites that I can browse thru? Do I have to order one for another ATV and fit it on to the YTM? Any imput on tricks or technique for more power out of the old YTM would be great!

dont think there is any aftermarket exhausts for the ytm's, the Tri-Z is really is the only Yamaha 3 wheeler aftermarkets really touched.

These trikes have some protinetal. You could almost make a better exhaust by finding a another aftermarket muffler off a similar bike and fabing it on, and then just get a 1/4 inch better pipe, and if you can get to a pip bender then you can custom build one. The exhaust is really choked down. once you open it up then you can have some potinetal.

other mods, Aftermarket Open airfilter, Bore out the carb, re-jet, Port & Polish the head (which I am under way on working on thoses), Bigger piston.

I wish there was a company that just focused on 3 wheelers, If I had the cash and knowledge I would do it, but Im working on that.

Thanks
Tyler

Theres your camshaft.

Put a uni filter on it, rejet and ride it.

I think pro-tec once made goodies for the ytm200. Is the ytm200 engine like the bw200 engine? If so I just recently got an aftermarket exhaust for the bw200 and am now looking for a muffler. Check on ebay. I'm sure there was support from companies like bassini. Post an ad in the classifieds and see what turns up.

As WIkid pointed out DG still makes a performance pipe for the YTM200's so that would be the easiest to get. At one time cobra and Kerker also made pipes but they have been discontinued.

As for other mods it depends on how much money you want to put into the trike. You can also get a hi compression piston, port the head, performance cam, different air filter setup, bigger carb. and maybe something else that I am forgetting.

The BW200 engine is very similar but I don't think the exhausts are the same.
