Hi, I am new here but have been into 3-Wheelers since the late 70's. In the last couple years I purchased a 85 Big Red, 2 1985 200X's, a 1984 70, and a 1981 200. Needless to say, I have the bug...
I recently came across an auction bill and on it is a 1987 Honda 250SX. I know little about these exept they are a cross between a 200x and a Big red. The picture shows it to be in good condition (trust me when I say I know pictures can be deceiving).
The question is, if it is good condition how much should I bid?
Thanks,
T

First, welcome to the boards!
I would say a lot has to go into a good apraisal. A totally decent sx can pull anywhere from $800-$1200. It all depends on all the details.
If its mint, it could pull more. Is it mechanically sound? What issues does it have? Does it smoke? Bearings? Brakes? Welds? Fenders?
For a good running machine, I would pay anywhere around a grand for a good sx.
If you want, throw up the auction (if its online) and you will be able to get a better idea.
Post up some pics of your current rids!

we had 2 250sx's, both were in pretty good condition, not mint but good, and we got 800 for one and 850 for the other.

id say if its in really nice, running shape, 1000 isnt unreasonable, my friend sold his 86 bigred for 1650 (it was "NICE") in central mn not to long ago. Where are you located (im not gonna come bid against you:naughty: ) just wondering as i dont see my minnesotans on the site.
