I got a set of rims that came in off of eBay yesterday.....10" x 9 ITP's used.
These were what I needed to mount my ancient Fast Trekkers.
Mind you I got these tires used from a buddy back in 1996 or 97, and never mounted them.
They had ice screws in them once upon a time.
So, I cleaned the beads up good, wiped the rim beads down, put some lube on the beads, and mounted them with spoons.
It took 45 lbs of air to seat the beads, so I let em sit a minute, and dropped it down to 30 lbs on the head. Squirted some LeakFind around the beads, and let em sit........all day.
They did not leak one damn bit, so I put em at 8 lbs, and good to go.
These are still marked Armstrong, and hopefully Titan marked ones are just as good.
Not one dry crack in them at all.
For those of you running the Titan Fast Trekkers, how have they been in the long run for you?
I plan on picking up a few sets if they are still good tires, as I loved the way they hooked up on my buddy's Quadracer.
