1986 Tri-z 250

been bored over once. has twist throttle :lala: and dg pipe with a cobra silencer.

just got it tonight, everything works on it and i ran it for a couple seconds.

one of the tires is off the bead though, has the fruity 3 bolt wheels :doh:

I traded a 650 holly double pumper carb, a 305 engine with a rod knock, and a good 350 engine out of an old truck for it. so basically i got it for nothing.

i got there a little late though, the guy THREW AWAY a 350x because it has a cracked case... and it still ran :wtf:

he told me the dump he took it to so i might go down there and try and get it LOL... doubt that will happen. i told him not to throw away any more trikes and to get them to me :fire:

I also am trading my 85 xr350r for this 85 tri-z. the jug is still in the shop for the tri-z and when its put back together we're making the trade

nice score them tri z's are sweet as suger always liked them shoot i would trade car parts for atvs any day.

Great score, RS! I love seeing trades like that, where you basically had some stuff laying around, taking up space, & looky looky what you get for it!:beer Now, go save that 350X, it's eating away at you.......................

By the looks of it, that Z is an 85 1/2. How many gears does it have? And I see that your coolent bottle isnt visible, so it probably isnt an 86.

Congrats though man! Their a blast! Just wait till you rid it :twisted:

yea it must be a 85 1/2... the coolant bottle is below the seat next to the gas tank.

i drain the really old gas and put some not quite so old gas in it and i got it started, the mixture might be a little fat or just because the gas is about 6 months old but it was a little more smokey than most ive seen. anyways it sounds very very healthy and its very loud LOL

i tried to ride it but when i clicked it into 1st it grabed and stalled out, i adjusted the cable all the way and it still isn't enough. so i guess it needs a new cable.

they sure are odd.

everytime i buy or get a new machine its really interesting to see what goofy tires are on it.

i made this video of it. as you can see im a little timid on it, this is the first time ive ridden it and also the first time ive ridden a 2 stroke three wheeler.

i cant wait to get it out and strech its legs i was givin it at most 1/2 throttle in this vid, the damn tire came off the bead on the 2nd hill climb lol... :(

so i was riding it for literally about 10 mins.

front of the house is clean now, just moved and had a ton of *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* to put somewhere. sold it all away, sold for scrap, or threw away it all :)
