View Full Version : Yes Another '86 250R Restoration

Finally got my butt into gear and started my '86R,ive gone with a new powdered frame and lots of new OEM parts,plastic etc etc
Here's the trike when i picked it up last March and the start ive made im just waiting on all the black parts to come back from the powdercoaters.

Looking real good there Aussie ,I am sure that's gonna be a nice restro.. Just remember to not kink any coolant lines ,LOL!!! You gonna use this one as a spare ??

Yeah i hear ya Roger no kinkyness with this one...LOL
Its going to be a looker not so much a rider ive always wanted a clean stock 86 in my collection.

That's real nice Aussie, I'm doing the same to my '86. At least you seam to have a nice seat. Mine is torn to shreds and i cant seem to find a mint one. Good luck!

2 questions ......... What are you using the sledge hammer and huge cresent wrench for?

He's thinking about hitting himself in the head with the hammer for how much money he spends on all this then adjust the cresent wrench to clamp tightly around his wallet....We all should ;) :D

That whole 250R is looking AWESOME! Whatever you do, it will look good. What are with those ATC stickers? So much for looking stock :lol: :rolleyes:

Its probably not a rider but i you can have a black pimped out 250r , 87 Tecate or even a Honda Pilot at your disposal for the dunes down here Doug you just let me know when mate so i can fill the fridge with beer ok :welcome:

Looking good Tony. As for your question, always the HRC tank over stock.....I always thought they were better looking. I know you will keep us updated. Great job!

I have them made for me they are a reproduction of the '87 200x rear fender decals.I have them available for $15(Pair) shipped to the US if you need any.
