How do you break the beads?

get all the air out of the tire, put the wheel and tire on the floor, stand on the tire until you work it off the bead, sometimes two people have to stand on it.

Your just lucky. Most will not come off by that method.

I'm sure if you were willing to pay another $50, they could find the strength from within themselves to mount those puppies:lol: they'll probably ask that soon :beer :w00t:

I dont know about just standin on the tire to break a bead...I had to drive a full size chevy up onto the tire and still had to use a slide hammer to accually break the bead and that was for a trx90 front tire...best way ive found: get a 2x4 or 4x4 and butt the end of the board between the tire and wheel then lay the board down over the tire (make a ramp using the board and make sure the end of the board is up against the wheel) then just drive a car up the board and itll compress the tire and break the bead...then you just need a bad ass enough compressor to set the bead.

Tell the dealer they are idiots, take them somewhere else. As for the rest of you guys, just take the tires to a shop and have them put on. They dont charge all that much if anything especially if you buy them from the shop.

I tried making a bead breaker but all it does is the same thing that happens to me when I try to do it by standing as close to the bead as I can. It slips off. Gotta get the dremel and a hacksaw to chop off the bead first. Oh, well. Who cares if it doesnt' come off in one piece anyways? Its going in the recycle pile of the tire dealer.
