Hi guys,
I am new to the forums and to three wheelers in general. Here is my question. I picked up an 84 200x that needed a little work. I now have it running and it idles perfect, but it stumbles anywhere past idle when throttle it applied( too rich I think). I have messed with the fuel screw to no avail. The bike has a Bassani exhaust and a K&N air filter. I know it has a 110 main jet in it but I have not checked the pilot yet. To all of the AZ guys on here, what combo of jets are you running in your trikes? I am just looking for a place to start!
Thanks for any help,
Nick
BTW: I will not be able to check any responses until sun night, so don't think that I just abandoned this thread!!!!!!

I'm not 200x but some ideas:
check your air filter, try briefly running it without the air filter and see if it clears up.
check the spark plug for fouling.
check your throttle needle and make sure the clipor clip holder hasn't slipped off, as has been the case with my 200 a couple times and I think they are prone to do this because of its design.
Make sure the exhaust isn't plugged.
Do these things before trying to jet as it will save you a lot of money, and they are basic maintenance items anyway.
Where did you get your bike from, didn't happen to be centeral utah by chance?? If you don't mind.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to try these things today. I got the bike locally here in AZ, but got the carb off of ebay and it is from Texas.

My 250r does the same thing. Idles fine, but chokes when the throttle is applied in gear. I'm am in the process of trying to re-jet it. And BTW, its a stupid suggestion, but make sure the choke isn't stuck on. I've done it before.
