if it was me id go with the r6, there really fast bikes, the gsxr is really nice also, but on the r6 hold on once you get past 10,000 rpm cuz they really take off fast, did you look into the ninja 636, they are also really fast, one thing with the gsxr is the flywheeel is a tad heavier than the rest so it doesnt rev up quite as fast but still really nice

you can lower the bike with longer dog bones (suspension linkages and drop the forks in the front. also you can soften up the rear shock. i like the R6 i think the GSXR will change in 2008 but that just me. all black R6 looks bitchen. id buy on if i could afford it but a new sport bike to me would be like a 1996 gsxr 750 haha.....better then my old FZR600

The R6 is a very race-oriented, top-end-only bike, which is great if you're gonna race but not so friendly on the roads. The Gixxer is a little more streetable and still very competitive on the track ( I have a friend that races an '04). I have an '03 CBR600RR, which I absolutely love. I don't ride track, mostly backroads. It's super light and handles like a dream. The power of the CBR is more evenly spread, and you can actually ride it below 7,000 RPM!

is it gonna be your 1st bike? if so maybe ya wanna pic up somthing older 1st or look at a zzr600, 2006+ its just a 2000-02 zx6r with a new name, or a 06-07 r6s, wich is just a 2003-2005 r6.

new r6 is a high reving bike, didnt know what ya wanted it for, but going by looks id take the r6.
