I bought the wife a 250x with a 350x motor a few weeks ago . it doesnt have an air box on it ,all it has is a hose coming off the carb with a filter on it . the trails we ride have alot of water on them and it really needs an air box. I have a 300ex box and tube but it doesnt fit the frame right and the tube is a little to short to seal off at the carb .Is there another box or tube I could use off another bike. any suggestions appreciated

hey, what about a 250x box? Is it different from a 300ex box?

They may be the same I dont know for sure .The 250x frame is an 87 and the air box I have is off an 01 300ex. The tube going from box to the carb doesnt fit and I believe I read on a post some where on here that a diffrent one was used just not sure wich one

what my buddy does is use a piece of plastic pipe to lengthen the tube

if that dosnt work, you could look for a waterproof pre-filter for it. it would help quite a bit im sure.
