350X rear axle swap

What aftermarket options do i have here? is the rear axle in a 85 350X the same as the one for a 85 or 6 250R? I'd like to go a little wider than stock when i reassemble my machine. Anyone have experience with these? Thanks in advance, TC...

the axles for 300ex/250x are the same, but narrower and different hubs. Durablue makes extended axles for 350x's. 85/86 atc 250r are completely different.

Yes the 300ex/250x axle fit the 350x carrier but all the rest doesn't fit ( brake hub, wheels hubs, sprocket, brake rotor etc...) I'm just rebuilding my rear end and I finally ordered a Durablue Heavy Duty +4" for 350x. I think it will be great ! And no so expensive !

Sounds like the durablue may cost a little more for the axle, but in the end i'd be saving a lot of headache and hassle trying to make all of the other parts line up and function. Thanks for the input, TC...
