Hey guys, new member here. I am looking at geting an 85 or 86 Honda 250R. Always wanted one when I was a kid, but stuck with my 125M and TRX 200. Anyways what do you guys think of this one?
Thanks for the help.

You're in New Mexico and you're looking at a trike in WI? There's loads of them in the southwestern US. There's always a few in the Phoenix Cycle Trader. I bet the Alberquerque (I know I butchered the spelling of that one, lol) Cycle Trader does as well.
Nice looking trike in that auction but the shipping is gonna cost at least 300 bucks and that's if you're lucky.

Haven't seen that many in the local cycle trader and the ones I have seen have been beat to hell.
Yes, the shipping will be kinda spendy, but I think it would be worth it for a very nice stock 250R.
Still just browsing really and wanted some other opinions.
Thanks,
Chris

These days there always seems to be a super clean 250r on ebay each week. Good for us trike enthusiasts but bad becuase everyone thinks theirs is worth 5k now.
Thats a nice bike but not the only clean one around. I would expect that bike to bring 2500 if it sells. But thats me, i would spend a little extra money on a nice trike that i really wanted.
Any original bike like this, ask a lot of questions. Because bearings and motor internals tend to wear out. The last all original bike i bought needed 1k of motor work after a few rides. With the rsut on that axle - i would be suspect of rusted rear bearings- which suck to remove if rusted too much.
Depends what your plans are, if its all out riding you want to do - i'd get one that has been restored. If its show only and reliving past - get the sweetest original you can find, cause it will be more valuable in the long run due to appreciation.
Thats my opinion - good luck and let us know what you get cause it sounds like you are getting one.:beer

Thanks for the information/warning 'Cuda.
I just want one I can ride ever so often and hopefully get back to almost stock state except for a few things like a new pipe/paddles.
