my buddy and i are going out to look at an 85 big red. i have an 85 250sx and he likes my bike for just cruising through mud pits and going through the woods and up sand hills and stuff. basically, how does the big red do in the mud pits, in the woods and how does it do when it comes to climbing sandy hills and stuff. also, how does it fair on trips? i imagine its more of a comfortable ride than the 250sx on trips since it has the bigger seat and is a little bigger than the 'sx. no plans of jumping it or really pushing it hard because we mostly just stick to the mud pits and sand pits. how will it keep up with my bike do you think? i said it would probably be slightly slower due to the weight but its not like we race our bikes anyways. anything to look out for when i'm checking it out? thanks for the help :Pimp

If you can get a good price on it but it. My bro-in-law has one, and that is all we do ride through the mud in the woods. Ya don't need a lot of speed but playing in the mud and the 25" tires will help alot. electric start and reverse are a big plus. He floats across some of the creeks with the 25/12/9 raw hides. I'm currently looking on a good deal for myself. Hope this helps

the big red is good for everything, but not as fast as the sx. it is very good in mud with good tires because it has a high ground clearance.
