OK I have a 4 wheeler that is kinda of unqiue. It is a honda 300ex with a 84 200x swing arm and a 91 Kawasaki 250 Ninja motor in it. The frame was extended about 6 inches so the motor would fit. It has front brakes but no rears. So my question is and bear in mind that I'm kinda new to atv's, how can I get rear brakes on. If I get the rear braking system for the 84 200x, can I just mount the brake peg onto the frame? Will that work. Plz ask me questions if this is too confusing. I've tried to be as clear as I can. Thanks in advance for the help.

ideas anyone?
Your going to have to make a post for the 200x brake pedal for it to work.

SO I could just weld a piece onto the frame for the pedal to mount too and that would work?

hey, I looked at my 250x/300ex, and the stock pedal pivots on the end of the swing arm bolt. so you may be able to use a stock 300ex pedal and bolt.

Ill borrow a cam from a friend and take some pics. Its rough looking and in the process of cleaning it up and getting plastics for it.
4cylinders, Do you think there would any mods needs to attach the brake lines to the 200x stuff?

Do you think the braking system off a 300ex would fit onto the 200x swing arm?

I was thinking over night, if 300ex rear brake parts fit on the swing arm, is it possible to tie in the front brake lever into the rear brakes and just have one lever for both?

possible, yes... but it might not have enough pressure to run both fronts and backs and still be strong enough to stop it.... and having independant fronts and rears are alot nicer than being linked together, atleast i think so...

I agree, just looking for a easier way to get the rear brakes to function without having to alot of modding to the pedal as I dont have access to a welder.

Here are the pics. Its a work in progress. Bought it from guy that put it all together. That it was a awesome bike, runs strong. Now im going to clean it up and upgrade it a little. Strip it and paint it, clean the motor up, add some plastics, thumb throttle etc.
I've added some fog lights as headlights and turn signals on the back since i ride it in town alot.

hey, I checked it out pretty good, and the bolt patterns are different. you need to use the 200x caliper and line. then use the 300ex master cylinder and pedal. all of it should just bolt right up.
