View Full Version : One thing bad about eBay...

eBay is awesome for finding the parts you need; and selling them, but there is just one thing that is impossible for me to win an auction. Everyone has a auto-bidder that places the winning bid like 30 seconds before the auction closes and that is really beginning to make me mad. I hope I can find everything I need on here or my local junkyard. Has anyone else had this problem?

It is competetive but I have been fairly succesful using the sniping method I learned about on this board. It is extremely aggravating I know but...if you monitor ebay often there are some good deals to be had. It seems that the demand for certain parts comes and goes....I remember some CDI's (250R) going for $35-40...I recently scored a good one for a spare for $3. I get tired of competing with the same people for parts and its seems certain sellers have unreasonably high shipping charges....I no longer place a bid until the auction is almost over...why?? It just raises the price of the item you are bidding on by possibly drawing other bidders into a bidding war. I'll wait until the last minute or until the latest I can monitor the auction and then bid my max.

I've heard of the program iSnipeit

Have you ever used that? I"m about ready to try something like that because thats about the only way I'll ever win something. lol I usually forget to log on when the auction is almost over or someone has to use the phone (yeah, I still have dial-up! :D ) but oh well. I'll get the parts I need, its just a matter of time.

I got a really good deal today on ebay.

I've spent over $40 on a kill switch and CDI box. Now I'm kicking me in ass right now, oh well.
