I've got an 84 R that I'm rebuilding from the ground up, it started as just a top end job but has progressed to this. I've already got some 400ex hubs and some offset wheels to widen the rear. Now I've started thinking about maybe extending the swingarm a little while it's tore apart. Anybody ever lengthen the swingarm on one of these? Like, know how to keep the rear shock geometry right? Any opinions on how much to extend it, pros or cons? Is it even worth doing? I haven't ridden this bike yet so I really don't know what to expect. Any help is appreciated :beer

depending on how you ride, do you really need an extended swinger, I have an 83 300R and it has the stock swinger and I like it just fine, it handles great, goes through the trails great, and is all around great the way it is, if you plan on drag racing then maybe yea, plus if you look at the swinger its a *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* to extend from stock becouse of the way its made.

ok then, I'll leave it stock for now then and see how it is. I just figured that if I was to do it now would be the time. I don't plan on dragging it a lot, just riding the trails and strip mines. thanks for the input.
