Steering stem clamp?

Question, is the steering stem clamp the part that bolts up to hold down the handle bars? Couldn't people just say handle bar clamp if that be the case lol

Also, would a trx clamp fit the 86 atc 250r's?

A steering stem clamp is usually an aftermarket clamp for aftermarket stems. The stock top clamps from a trx will fit the atc, an aftermarket 1 piece top clamp for a trx will not fit the atc, its about 1 1/2" to narrow to fit the atc. I think I've seen 1 piece top clamps for the atc somewhere, probably ebay.
