Finally got it.

Well, 5 hr round trip to WV and now the new Kaw is home. I'm off tomorrow, so I plan on getting some insurance paperwork outta the way, doing some yardwork, then its off to break this thing in. :naughty: Got a Rumble to make in a couple weeks!!! ;)

The bike is REALLY much better looking in person. I am really impressed with the fit and finish. I thought I would not like the wheels at first, the same as the V-Force 700.....but these are fully polished (not on the inside) and they look 100% better. Thinkin they going up on the shelf...not wanna bust em up!

The black rear fenders will have to stay, it looks goofy without them on. The fronts..I think they will come off. There is so much aluminum here for me to polish...I don't know where to start! Thinkin the bumper and grabbar gonna be first to meet Mr BuffingWheel.

The lights..well, they absolutely look stupid. I have a pair of new YFZ450 lights, and I am going to see how hard it would be to use them instead of these "bugeye" lookin ones. Eventually, I will buy some LazerStars and mount em up on the handlebar clamps.

Eventually, I will buy some LazerStars and mount em up on the handlebar clamps.Every manufacturer has to do their own style of headlight treatment. Without a doubt, the YFZ's have the best looking headlights, but if you can't get the YFZ headlights to mount up cleanly, I think the stock "bugeye" lights will look far better than any aftermarket flashlights bolted to the handlebar clamps.

Now quit stressing over the looks of your headlights, and go out and have some fun breaking in your new toy! :D

was sitting on one yesterday, them are some real nice rides right there. glad to see kawi produce a mean racer again. and its green!!! if i wasnt a die hard tecate 2 stroker fan, i would say kawi should of slapped the ole tecate name on it. but being its four stroke it just wouldnt be right. either way, beautiful bike.

Nearly 2 tanks of gas and 6 HARD hours of pounding. :w00t:

Gettin better the longer I run it.

Been out most of the day, need to get cleaned up and hit the sack. Quick review for ya.

Suspension was harsh...after a couple hours...softened up a bit...harshness went away. Made some compression, rebound and preload changes...like a different machine. Works great.

Handling...wow. Thinkin it would be tippy at only 46" wide. No way. This thing RAILS! Amazed. No bumpsteer.

Starting...push button...NO GAS or no start. Fires quick, cold OR hot.

Brakes....weak as hell at first.....then got TIGHT!!! Bang...can ya say on the NOSE? One finger, dead stop! Sweet.

Power...FuelInj works awesome. Very snappy. Revs quick, pulls hard in EVERY gear. Before ya can say :w00t: you're in top gear. That is both good and BAD...
A Bit of bad news...lost a drag race to a Honda 450R... :( Out at 6 hills on the road. The KXF got him outta the hole...hit 2nd gear...roasted the tires, bang 3rd, 4th and 5th...right there, then topped out and he walked away. If a quad ever needed some gearing changes, this one does. I'm sure with some more time on the engine, it will loosen up and wind better, but still gonna need some higher gears.

Ergos...seat is hard. My knees are SORE. Kaw designed the tank with some contour in it. There is a slight bulge up higher and ahead on the sides of the tank, and it is kinda curved in lower. If my legs were about 2 inches shorter, they would fall right into these contours. As it stands...they ride a bit high...on the bulges.. BANG, BANG...ouchy! :mad: I'll get used to it.

The quad is a messs...filthy...scuffed and I already snapped a big ole chunk off my rear skidplate! :naughty:

Just rolled it out of the garage for a quick bath. Going to tear it down to the frame here in the next week or so. I'll go over some of the bearings and such...give the frame a couple small repairs...and some fresh paint. The engine is getting a rebuild....new crank...more portwork....new topend, all to compliment my new Sprock Pipe. If I wasn't puttin all this work into it...I would give it to you, but alas....:beer

Here are 2 done all up. Wish I had the bank to do this to mine.

The T4 can keep up. Haven't had em side by side...but I got LOTS of time on the T4 and plenty on the new one now...I think the T4 will beat it in a straight line. Around a MX track or thru the fast trails...no way. The new one feels like an electric motor. So smooth, and handles so well.

You should change your screen name to two boogers.:lol: Just kidding buddy. The new Kawi's look alot better than I expected. Seems like for a while there all the manufacturer's bikes were looking the same just with different colors and stickers on them. Can't wait to see it rip-r-up at the Rumble.
