The TRX250R rear caliper in the Honda parts catalog has a part number of 43209-HB9-008, showing application of 86-87 TRX250R only. By the book no, but perhaps someone knows if it will bolt up.

I bought a new caliper from CAL-ATV for my 86 trx. With the parts from my old stock 86 trx caliper and parts from my stock 86 atc caliper, I built a caliper for the atc and had no problems bolting right up. Cant remember what parts came from what, but I think they are the exact same. Good luck

Im pretty sure you can use almost any rear caliper from a quad and make them work for a trike as long as you have the mounting bracket. I am sure the honda calipiers are the same they just have different mounting brackets. I have Niffin or Nissin (I am unsure of the spelling?) caliper's on my 350x that I am not sure what they came off of? So others will work.

are you sure the quad master wont work? im pretty sure they will...also the only difference in the calipers in the way they attach to the swingarm, if you look at an 86' and an 85' the 85' uses an extremely short arm compared to the 86+...but the calipers are exactly the same....

I have both, the quad masters won't work.

I have heard that if you use the ATC pushrod on the Fourtrax master, it will work............I have not tried it though.

well my old man has a master thats matches up with my 85 R master. It looks identical except the lever that is on it isnt bent like the atc's and it has a number 2 on it while my atc master has a number 1 (or vice versa) I just won that complete rear end with caliper for an 85 R for $50 so im good to go now.

the trx master won't bolt up to the atc frame.the way the brake line comes out of the trx is different also.maybe some years are different, but the trx master i had, would not work.
good score on the rear end kev!!

i have 3 or 4 extended swingers but cant use any of them. Every single one of them they extended but didnt move the little peg on the side for the brake stay. Maybe their is some way to use them, i dont know. i have a chrome +1.75 i think then a like 2 or 2 1/2 and a 3 i think I cant even remember
EDIT I guess when you use the right combination of brake stays and things it actually WILL work  Now im not sure which swinger to use. I like the looks of the white one on my 85 R but I Extended the white ectended one and it looks a little whacked:lol: Then it has like $40 in powdercoat on it
