I forgot I bought these but just ran across them. I was hoping they would fit my 85R but they are to small so I am assuming they are for the 81/84R. The box just says atc 250r. Anyone know who made these? I would like to find a set or 2 for my 85R. I thought I remembered seeing these before on here but can't seem to find any info on them. Anyone else have these, if so what machine are they on?

Are those made to balance the 2 front forks? I don't see the benefit. The pressure in the forks builds up and has to be bled out but why balance it when both forks are building up the same pressure from the same bumps.
I'm confused, supposedly there shouldn't be any air in front forks anyhow...
Nasa.............They may fit the 1985 200X.

i can see where they would be an advantage.. its hard to balance the air exactly... i use a regulator though... the book does say that they are air adjustable forks.. so even if people think u shouldn't run any pressure, u still can if u want to... they ride nicer, i think...

200x factory service manual says standard air pressure is "0" but not to use more than 10psi as the forks become very stiff. This implies to me that they were made to be adjustable.

Well the reason I got them was because of the adjustability. You can add pressure to the springs by turning the center piece down like todays streetbikes and it helps fine tune the suspension. I could see where these would work really good with a set of progressive springs.
Did NASA ever make these for the 85/86R?

yes you can run pressure in them..most run 0 but there is a max for each machine. I wish people would read there service manual or go buy one.. I run 4 psi up to 6 in my forks. front forks build up pressure the valves are there to let the pressure out to and or equalize them with the same pressure.

well they would never get used on this guys machine. But i know someone with a nice 85 200x and 2 84 R's that might be interested. I wonder if they only fit the 81-82 forks or if they fit the 83-84 as well?
