85 TECATE worth it?????

i found an 85 tecate 250 2-stroke for $500 that needs a new stator and flywheel how much are they and is it worth it to buy this trike i need to know ASAP like NOW thank you.

If that's all it needs, it's definitely worth 5 bills.

New Ricky Stator stator/flywheel will run you about $250 for the flywheel, stator, lighting coil, and stator plate. It'll be less if you don't get the plate and do your own soldering.

The one on craigslist right? It looks pretty good actually, you should move on it, the guy keeps going down on price too, it started at 700 or 750 don't remember which but slowly he keeps decreasing the price.

Yeah I'm going for it! I am trading him the car at this link http://forum.4g61t.org/viewtopic.php?t=20905 and $100 or $150 dollars but now the trouble is going to be pick-up and delivery of the trike and car. I am almost sure that the price started at $700. So really I'm only paying either $100 or $150 for it because I did not pay for the car my mother did. Plus another $250 for the stator and flywheel brings my total up to $400 for a good running 2 stroke 250cc Tecate.

Ok I just got a reply and it will be $150 plus the car for the Tecate. Now the only problem is each of us taking possession of each others stuff.

Sweet deal you got, its got the nice red fenders and gas tank and all, don't see many of those. Anyway, get some better pics of the trike when you get it because the guys pics sucked....and get it running. Good luck.

Will do, but i'm not so sure because i forgot to add the brakes are soft but i was told by a mechanic friend they should just need to be bled and i told him that and offered $175 because of my error and am now waiting for a reply. I think it will be all good though. and yes the pics suck as$
