I bought a 350x supertrapp off of ebay a while back, and i cant get the muffler off the pipe. Ive tried everything. Numerous aplications of pb blaster, torch, pry bars, hammer.... It just seames to have fused itself together. Anyone have any ideas? Theres not a whole lot of surface area to tap/pry on, and its alluminum so i dont want to mess it up.

I took a block of wood and tapped the aluminum cone off of the pipe itself. Just tap around in a circular motion. It should come off. Then i heated the core which was rusted solid on the pipe until cherry red hot. While cherry red put on some welding gloved and she should come apart. I have had to do this for every supertrapp i have ever bought. Last two have been from ebay. I dont think anyone ever repacked these exhausts because they are a Mother *%#^@^ to take apart. Besure to use plenty of high heat antiseize on they 6 stainless steel bolts. I take mine apart yearly to ensure its longevety. Hope this helps

I had to throw mine away. I ended up wrecking the aluminum muffler piece.
ALso the 6 bolts do get stuck/stripped.
