What should I get! The 200x has a fresh rebuild and busted plastic but hasn't been ran in 2 years. have no idea what else could be wrong. The T-3 needs a stator and flywheel, plastic is cracked, and i have know idea what else it could need. The T-3 is going to cost about $500 or $600 and the 200X is going to cost like $350 Which is the better deal? HELP

what year is the t3 ? it depends on the riding you do too ? do you ride in mud or do you drag/ride in fields ?

go with the t3 if your riding on hard surfaces.

tecates dont stay running long enough to feel the "power" of them LMAO. Serious i havent ever owned one though. I just know its kawasaki vs honda. I know which one i'd get and it sure isnt a kawasaki

I like hondas, they are unkillable beasts, but a tecate is 2-stroke and would crush an X so i'm confused.

do you want balls or do you want a nice daily rider?

I would like both but i already have a 200m/red that is very reliable.

ok if you want both buy the x then juice the hell out of it. but the t cat is fast however as stated above it is a kowasaki . man it all comes down to what you wanna do.

Buy both and sell which ever one you end up liking the least.

I'm just going to get what ever works out first regardless of what it is. hell it could even be a 1999 blaster.

It also depends on how big you are. I would go with the 200x if you are on hard ground alot. The tec would be for soft/desert+sand. I always hear of the Tecates breaking down. The 200x's do run well and are good on gas. They don't do too well in the sand though. I would go with a 200x over a tecate any day.

I'm a big guy 6'1 330 lbs. and i like the X but i love speed.

so you have the cash to buy the T3 and spend $200-300 (if not more, its always more) on it to get it running again? to me it seems like you may be getting to excited over some bikes here. maybe you could meet up with a member and test ride one of their bikes to see what you really like.

jason85atc250r left me ride his 1985 atc200x (autox) and i was sold on its was perfect for me.

just an idea. i would think you'd want to decide if you like 2 stroke power or 4 stroke power, dont let bikes needed work determine which on you have to get.

I think if your 6'1 the X might be a little bit small for you...But, If I were you I would try as hard as you can to get the cash for both, slowly fix them both up, then whichever one you like the most keep, becuase an alright looking, good running 200x should probably sell for around $800. And if you decide to keep the X and sell the tecate, and good running, alright looking tecate should bring around $1500, so either way youll get your money back. Just my opinion.

yea both are nice bikes man, the kawi will be alot faster, but will require more maintance, plus you have to mix gas everytime you fill it up witch isnt a big deal some some people, but its gets to be a pain when you are trail riding carrying oil everytime you go, the 200x is a preety fun machine, parts are everywhere for them, if you do some mods and change the gearing on them a little bit they move preety good for a 200, i guess it depends on what kind of riding you do

you could always wait for a 350x right? they kinda fast i think?

I think i'm just going to grab the first deal that works out regardless of what it is. I will be happy with either. And if anyone knows of anyone looking for a car great on gas that need work and $300 or $400 cash for a trike let me know.

I take whats wrong and the repairs it will need into account because shell out the cash then not be able to ride it because I don't have the funds to fix it. an it i get the tecate i can fix up sell it and buy an R or a 350X

i would get a R out of them two (R and 350x). im not crazy about the 350x.

Well since it sounds like you have mostly only ridding the old 4 stroke 200s, so this T3 would be a whole different ball game..lol fun though... why the heck would ya sell it for an R?!?! lol The T-3's a hell of a machine, sure not so many parts, but if ya look ya can find em..now selling it for an X i could understand.. lol..can never go wrong with a big ole 4 stroke. mine has power all day long.. well any ways.. good luck with what ever ya pick.

ive bin an a 350x just not a 250R. i was not impressed with the 350x. sure its better than my 200s but in my opinion the 350x isnt worth the amount you pay for them. now the 250R i have herd is worth every penny.

My kawasaki tecate brings me huge pride that no 200x could ever bring me. I have become "the guy with the tecates" around here. No one ever seen 1 befor. And I mean everyone. Its ugly, drinking problem, smoke like a chimney and damb do they put out. I have not had my tecate dialed in yet but it never fouled a plug intil the rebuild, and my tecate was my Large Green for what a Big Red was. Get the tecate and find another stator. Bullet proof trannys in the 3 wheeler models only.

was the X you rode a dog or what? lol a well maintained and in good operating condition X is a good time man!! lol mines geared way down for now, but when i first got it, she had an aluminum racing sproket on the back.. was a 32 tooth. and i cannot find another one no matter where i look, but if you had rode her with that gearing you'd be singing another tune.. lol shed run with R's no problem then.

Before you buy either Let me ask, have you ever ridden a two stroke? They got alotta power but you need to be good on the clutch in any tight trails. I love my rm its faster than heck, but my 350x will KILL it on the trails around my house. Two strokes also require alot more maintenence Then a 200x\350x will. Hell my friends 87 warrior finally needed a rebuild after 20 years of riding. Four stroke are just more reliable, Check out powroll they got some nice upgrades for the 200x.

I do love that 2-stroke power-band and it looks like the T-3 is mine. I'm partial to the looks of Tri-Z's and woulndn't mind one of them as for the 350X or 250R it would be whatever I found for sale for the best price and condition. That is if I don't fall in love with the tecate.

yeah i have rode 2-strokes before. a Kx or 2 (not mine)
