Would you guys run this rear caliper? It's for my 85 250r. You can see where the idiot rode it THROUGH the brake pads and wore into the pistons. There are supposed to be pucks in the ends of those pistons but they are gone because people are too cheap to replace brake pads. Will it hurt me if i run it without these "pucks" in there? the pistons are like $24 or $28 each and i really dont want to have to buy new ones.

more or less a cushin. if you think about it you would get a better strong squeez without it cause its not pushin the pad against something soft anymore

Mine had that but when I dissaembled it to clean the pistons, I had to push them back into the caliper to get the pads out and they kind of dissolved. I've been running for a couple months without them now. No issues so far.

Yeah. It would work fine. They are there as an absorber. They give you that mid squish pedal where as if you dont have them its going to be a lttlie more aggressive grab but will perform just fine.
