'85 250 ES Crankcase breather

Hi, Can someone throw some light on this for me?
The crankcase breather pipe comes from the top of the casting and goes to a T joint. From there it goes down to a 'pinched' drain end. Where does the top pipe go? Mine appears to be floating around loose at the top front of the airbox.
In the last week it seems to have dumped a large amount of oil from this pipe around the airbox, under the seat and generaly all over the place!
How do you get oil out of the seat cusion?

I think it goes into the bottom of the airfilter box? Not too sure though..

There is a place on the crossmember that the rear rubber seat mounts are on. It is in front of the air cleaner and on the underside of the crossmember.
