Silver lake dune ride 4-21 Saturday

Well our last date on Good Friday didn't happen since there was snow all over the area and temps in the low 30's. Looks like this weeked will finally work out. If anyone is interested in joining the ride it would be great. A few of my friends are bringin out some fast quads and a few trikes. Should be a lot of fun .:w00t:

It was a fun filled day until I lifted the head off the jug, oh well. All in all it was a good time . We are planning on getting back up there real soon. Here are a few more pics of the day. The last pic is of John running to the bathroom after eating a few chili dogs . PU !:w00t:

John, looks like you guys had a blast. Would love to ride dunes one day. I've got to ask, did you run the Saber oil at 100:1 like you were planning? If so, how did it do/feel? More power, less power, did it mess with your jetting?

That's interesting that you have a wet plug. I, too, always have a wet plug in my Tecate. Has anyone mentioned that before? Maybe it is a peculiararity of the T3 engine. I've been trying different premix oils myself trying to remmedy the wet plug, but haven't bee successful so far. Keep me posted on the Saber at 100:1. I'd be interested to know how it works long-term. Chris

100:1 will need you to rejet leaner. Your richening the mixture by going up in ratios from 40:1 to 100:1.

I run 50:1 and get a nice choclate plug with no wetness.

Looks like you guys had fun. Maybe I can make the next trip, had to much goin on this time. Looks like the drag spot was nice & wet. Makes for awesome traction. Sweet lookin T-3's.

We're planning on goin back up in 2-3 weeks without any issues this time. My cylinder is currently being re-nicked as it developed a hot spot slightly above small exhaust boost port.:confused: Oh well, it ran amazing for a short time and will be up an running here shortly. The strip was as smooth as i have ever seen it that day, and the weather was spectacular. Next time me and lopes should be better prepared for a full day of fun. Can't wait. Shout when you can make it a go.:w00t:

Im planning on heading out there for a extended weekend with a few others from the OTC. It will probably be sometime after July. Mabey August or September. It would be nice to hook up with you guys. We'll be in touch. Nice pics, we need more.!!!!!!
