kickstarter ??

just bought 1984 cr250r and when kicking it over every so often it skips. so i checked the oil and there were metal flakes in it very very small
not good hey, anybody know what could need fixing. thanks:confused:

yes u could have stripped *Edited**Edited* kickstarter gear, take the crank case off and take a look.

took it off and all the teeth are good but the spindle for the kickstarter has lots of play which gets stuck on the flywheel also there are broken missing peices of the clucth . the clutch still works perfect ?
how much for new clutch plates?

you would have to go to a dealer and price them im not to sure.

I know its simple but I have seen it happen before. Make sure the bolt that holds the kicker on and tight is not loose and tight as can be.
