On the bottom of the air box there is a hose that connects back to the gas tank, I assume it's a breather tube...What do I do with this hose when I remove the air box?

thanks for any suggestions.

"Remove the airbox" you mean remove for service or you mean remove

Yes, actually remove it and go with a clamp on filter.

I'll buy your old airbox so you wont have to worry about storeage.
Hose is just a vent for tank. Wont matter much where you lay the hose out.

thats not supposed to connect to the tank.. the tank vent is routed up through the light shroud and in the tripple nut along with the overflow line. mine has a hose on it that follows down with the carb vents. I run my gas line vent up over the rads and zip tie it,, looks alot better than haveing the hoses in the tripple
