OK- well heres the deal, i started talking with someone who swears he has a bolt on pv that you can put on any liquid cooled 250r, he used to own a atc250r. anyone ever heard of this? i havent and couldnt find anything on it. im anxious to see what happens with this - or if hes just bs'in me.
ALSO he swears that a cr250 pipe will bolt right onto a atc250r, and have about a quater inch gap between where it almost will hit the radiator, and its alot closer to the front tire. HOW ABOUT THAT? anyone ever heard of that?
Well, let me know..... now - i aint no dummy and im doubting these, but since this is a old friend of mine from when i was a teenager, that i just ran into and started talking to, i havent seen in like 8 years, i want to believe him but its hard to. im going to leave this one up to you guys to decided, and call it BS or true....

that pv thing is probably the exhaust flange, also a cr250 pipe won't fit the trx/atc flange, you need the flange from a 84 or similar year cr250. Alot from the 84?? cr250r fits, including the cylinder.

actualy if you could get the drive assy to work of fthe 84-86 cr250 the atac motors and use the atcpipe but modyfy it to use the torque chamber it could work. i tried it a few years ago and anded up not oticing anythign diffrent and end up just buildign a p/v tri-z instead.

I sersously doubt that anyone would spend the 2g that cylinder cost let it sit, sell the atc, let the pv clyinder sit around for years and then give it away. I have 2 pv 250r clyinders, they were expensive, I won't let them sit around. I finally got rid of the esr330, I wouldn't let it go for anything less than $300. I was told about that guy, I was expalined what it was, it sounds like a exhaust flange to me.

Mike Coe was talking about this a while back. I did some research and discovered as brapp mentioned that some of the early CR250s had a thing that was a primitive powervalve that bolted directly onto the exhaust flange of the CR cylinders. It had some kind of a rod that ran through the cylinder casting that worked as a mechanical actuator.

speaking of the same thing I saw one on ebay about a year ago, but it ddint require any machining, but I cant remember how it worked I actually bleived it had a thing where the throttle cable went to it and then to the carb and it was a complete bolt on deal, the other problem is when you bolted it on then a pipe it would be way out front of the motor in the way of the tire.
