Dammit!

I've gotten a few conflicting reports on this so I just want to be 100% sure here so please, no guessing. :beer
If I were to install a 1985 swingarm on my 86 250R, can I use my 86 bearing carrier in the 1985 swingarm? And vice versa?
Any other potential issues I should know about here? I know I'd have to use the proper brake hardware but is there anything else?

No if you use a 85R swinger the bearing carrier will NOT work....the 86 carrier is about 20mm bigger on the OD but you can use a 86R axle if you change the fixing bolts....caliper mount is different also ....

like he said, the 86 carrier will NOT fit into the 85 swinger and vice versa, the 86 has a bigger OD. The bearings are the same but the carrier is different.

Unless you grind down the 86 carrier you could make it fit, but that's if you really want to
