Big Red to the rescue

Ran out of gas last night on tour with the Tri-Z :cry:

On my way to my buddies house I hit reserve. When I left I told my self to go easy and conserve fuel. Well, as soon as I hit the funnest part of the trail I started to let her sing. I never thought about the fuel issue again until she sputtered to a stop about 2 miles from home. :drool: I ran home and decided to worry about it in the AM. :rolleyes:

Here is what Big Red and I came up with, worked great!:)

Reminds me of the time I ran out of gas on I-75 in the dark pouring rain. I walked 2 hours to an exit, got gas and a little gas can, walked two hours back to my truck thinking 'it might not be there'.
Did you leave the Z in the trails or in the open? Good thing it hadnt 'vanished' when you got back to it! Cool pic!

Ya I did worry a little that it wouldn't be on the side of the trail when I got back but not many people even know that trail is there and it was 10:30 PM when I ran out of gas and 8:00 AM when I picked her up. Not nearly as bad as running out of gas in the rain two hours from gas though. The things we end up doing makes for some good stories.
I wish someone took a picture when I was driving 1/4 mile up the road to get back to my house, then I'd have a picture of Big Red working. I did get some good looks from cars going bye. I stopped at the neighbors garage and the Carquest delivery girl said, "Isn't it illegal to own a three-wheeler?" Smack!

Ahh the joys of riding alone. Too many times, I have been in that situation. When my tri-z runs out of gas, it races to the moon. Two times had that happen. Once on the trail and it took off on me.

The best thing about that is yet another HONDA having to rescue other makes:lol:
jk man dahm fine idea with the trailer, beats the hell out of luggin a gas can or pushing the beast

I see another guy did the same thing in the "big reds working" thread. Sure am glad the Big Red has been around performing since 86! The only problem that rig has ever had is a broken return spring. That Honda has been awesome.

Haha thats typical....a honda towing a yammie. :lol: :lol: Yeah cool thing about reds is you can use them in all different manners. Work, play and even rescue.
