i was riding my 84 200s today and it started to smoke then wouldn't move. so i took the motor out and pulled the head sure enough the rings are bad. i didnt know much about this engine at all except its bored and it has higher compression rings.
the owner told me bored to 67mm and 12:1 compression. lol yea rite i did research on the piston and it is a wiseco 4156p2. witch is 66mm 10.25:1 compression (i was disappointed that i was told one thing and got another :( ) . now from what i can find online there is 12:1 and 10.25:1 rings that will fit this piston.
my question to you guys is do i run 10.25:1 or 12:1 rings? also should i get it bored 1 mm so i will be a full 2mm over ? or would that be to much ? i really want 12:1 l :drool: . ti think they would wake this thing up allot.
p.s i just got done looking at the specs page and guess what i found out ? its not even a 200s engine it is a 185s engine. stock bore is 63mm and im bored to 66mm lol. 3 mm over sized is a little much aint it ?
