Hey guys.. well yesterday was pretty rough..
Me and a buddy were out tooling around and what not, and we ended up swapping bikes, I was on his 05' pred and he was on my 350x.. well we buzzed around, and ended up in this field, just messing around, and we just took off down the field, hauling. pred in 5th my X in 6th it was alotta fun at first, so were screaming down the field, and all the sudden my buddy on my X hits some nasty bumps and they rattle him pretty good, and next thing we know, he hits more and they shake him right off. so his foot comes off the peg and that 350x showed no mercy, just sucked him right under that wheel. so here I am.. watching my good friend and my pride and joy start the mother *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**E dited* death roll going at least 60..downhill.. he and it smashed into each other and bounced and crashed for about 50 foot. i watched my X get at lest 10 foot of air off one hit.... I flew down there as fast as that lame pred would move. and some how by gods grace or something this kid stands up.. dislocated shoulder (looked all messed up) extremely dazed holding his arms.. i though he had a broken back or arms or something.. but nope.. thankfully some how all he got was the dislocated shoulder, which he just popped back in there..a really swollen bruised hip and alotta bruises. that is one luck sob. ..and i know everyone heres heard it a million times but right there showed me. it pays to wear right gear. might not be cheap and easy. but with out a helmet i think he very well could have died. his smashed my tank in with his head. and with out riding boots there is no doubt in my mind or his that his ankle would have snapped like a twig.. I know i'm going to buy some riding boots ASAP.. but thankfully the kids doing alright, i go to college with him, his pride hurt alot today lol, and he had a limp in his step..
So any ways on to the trike.. what a mess. I could have used a 30 pack all day long after seeing that thing in the shape it was in.. I was upset.. frame twisted and snapped, all plastics trashed, forks bent like bananas.. blew a tire off the bead. smashed a hole in the head pipe. trashed the handle bars.. but thank god the kids got a level head, he has already bought me a new frame and forks since the wreck (yesterday) and hes buying new plastics, and tires if i want, but i dont I'll make him, hes paid enough..
BUT any who.. theres a thread in the classifieds from me, I need headlight shroud, and head pipe, someone please help!!!!..lol I have been planing on trike fest since last year when i couldn't go, and a month away my trike gets trashed.. The kid has the money and said, find the parts hes got the cash waiting. (he'll probably be at TF so you can all bust his balls..)
