Got a 1986 350x!!

Alright so I'm at work and my pop's gives me the good news, just snagged a 1986 350x form a friend of a friend. I seen pics of it about 2 weeks ago on a digital camera, needs some cleaning and platics but it runs! Typical plastics and what not I heard but it was a good running bike. The best part, picked it up for 200 beans!!!!!!!! I finally got one of those super deals that some people on here have been able to grab haha I think it'll be here this weekend and I will certainly have pics when it does, Our collection is complete finally, the Z ( in shambles, but it's there haha), the R the tecates and now the X ( yet again! Lost it the old one a few years back)

I'll keep you guys posted on the status. I thought I'd start the thread now though :D I'm stoked! Now it's time to make another beast that will be stretched out

haha I just saw pics from my friends comp, I'll see if I can get them off his comp tonight perhaps.. If not it'll be here thursday night for sure! Needs some rear plastics and a new gas tank ( leaking a bit) but other then that it's fully complete down to the tools! It actually runs too soI just need to clean it up and what not to start some riding and breaking it in

Status report::
Well the delievery date has now been changed to friday afternoon or so. I will try to grab the pictures from my buddys comp tomorrow to give an idea on this bike.. Man am I stoked!

Alright update number too... Well my luck saturday night my brother crushed the screen on the camera so I can't see crap and well it doesn't want to take photos now ( I thought i could get around the screen not working but no!)

On to the good part, she runs pretty well, starts up on the first couple clicks. Also, the bike is all there.

The bad news, Definetly needs plastics, a tank ( rusted away) tires ( importantly the front one) and we just might do a rebuild on the motor while we are at it. I'll try and get a camera tonight to give an idea. Overall, for a 1986 350x man it is a steal!

Update::

Alright I definetly need to get pics on here I know, I'm working on that tonight, promise! haha

The tank is going to be cleaned reworked and what not so it won't leak.. A tire is on it's way next week along with some motor parts.

Question I have, what swingarm will fit the 350x, like a 450r?

Congrats on the good buy, i just got an 85 delivered 2 nights ago i'm gonna get some pics up this weekend and hopefully use my extra day off to tear it down. I'm just gonna strip and the paint the frame. The powder coating and all of that was too much when i did my 86.

I dont know about the swingers, but let me know if you're getting rid of the 86 stock set-up, i'm cheap but not broke. I'm also curious about what if any swimg arms will work because like my other post says i'm looking to upgrade my shock on the 86...
