200x Questions

First off, I made a wise investment by buying a Clymer manual, but I would like some insight from you guys that have done some wrenching on the 200x motors...
I have an 86, but Im sure you guys that have the other 4 stroke Hondas have some insight/comparisons. Ill have no problem doing it, I just havent touched an 86 motor, and wondered how different they were from the other Honda 4 strokes.
I bought a complete gasket set to freshen things up, and my biggest question for the night is how hard is it taking off/apart the topend to install a new head gasket. Ill find out soon enough, but do I have disconnect the cam from the cam chain to pull things apart enought to get a new gasket in there, or is it easier than that? I was very surprised to see how easy the valve adjustment setup is on the motor, so hopefully everything else will go the same way... Any tips/tricks are appreciated!!!

* Also, are the front swingarm bushings on the 86 the same as the x or r? Where do you guys recommend getting them?

* How do you guys recommend removing the front forks seals? And do you guys really use any special tool as Honda recommends when putting new seals back in?

i believe youhave to remove the cam and hang your timing chain to the side with a string or wire so as to not drop it in the motor. then remove the complete head, cuz i believe the studs would get in the way of you dropping the head gasket down because they run straight thru the cylinder and head and you have 4 nuts and washers that go on top of the head cover/valve cover. so yes you will have to remove your head to do this.

I never tore my engine apart but about the fork seals, To remove them you need to remove the fork caps, remove springs and all bottom bolts. Then pry off the dust wipers with a knife or screw driver, remove the circlip inside right above the seal, and just yank the tube until the seal pops out. The only hard part is putting the clip back in. To drive the seal in I just used a piece of PVC and some grease. Its really not hard to do but it takes some force.
