To decarbonize a chamber you need to really heat it up. Propane can work but mapp would be faster. Heat it almost to red then lightly tap it and watch the carbon fall.

I sprayed a can of seafoam into the exp. chamber on my son's trizinger. Let it soak overnight then dumped it and let dry for a couple of days. Then hooked it back up and ran the engine under load to burn it out. It smoked pretty bad for a while but it seemed to do the job.

I don't know if you can find one in your area but an ultra-sonic cleaner would
work.
I have access to a real large one and have cleaned things I never thought
would come clean.
I cleaned my sons kdx80 pipe in it...took it down to the bare metal, inside and out.
an ultra-sonic cleaner hits the object with soundwaves and works wonders....

Has anyone tried powertune from quick silver? I use it to clean out all the carbon from my boat engine, cars, lawnmower, etc. I don't know if this will work. I also don't know if it is good for the spark arrestor. Any feed back would be great.:beer

oxy torch works good, heat the outside of the pipe up cherry red, kill the oxy and fill the pipe with acytalyen, then light it, make a big bang and knocks all the carbon out,,,,

I've always used oven cleaner to get the carbon off the power valve etc when doing top ends on my bikes. I don't know how good it would work if your pipe is really bad, but if you do get it clean it should work for keeping it clean if you do it fairly often. For the scilencer, can't you just take it apart, clean it and re-pack it?
